Community Guidelines
Last updated: 2026-03-15
Meshup is built for real, respectful connections through shared interests — communities, events, and meetups. These guidelines explain what’s allowed and what’s not. If you violate them, we may remove content, restrict features, or suspend your account.
Meshup is not a dating app. Please don’t use Meshup to solicit romantic/sexual relationships, send unwanted flirtatious messages, or post “looking for girlfriend/boyfriend” content. That kind of content may be removed and repeat behavior may lead to account restrictions.
Be respectful
- No harassment, bullying, intimidation, or targeted hostility.
- No hate or discrimination based on protected characteristics.
- No threats or encouragement of violence.
- No unwanted sexual content, sexual solicitation, or persistent unwanted contact.
Keep it safe
- No scams, fraud, impersonation, or misleading content.
- No sharing private personal information (yours or others) without permission (doxxing).
- No content that exploits, sexualizes, or endangers minors — we take this extremely seriously.
- No coercion, blackmail, or pressure (including pressure for contact details or money).
Meetups and events
- Be clear and honest about event details (time, place, cost, what to expect).
- Respect boundaries. If someone says “no” or asks you to stop, you must stop.
- Don’t create events to lure, intimidate, or target people.
- No illegal activity, dangerous activity, or promotion of harmful behavior.
- Meet in public places first (coffee shop, park, busy venues).
- Tell a friend where you’re going and when you’ll be back.
- Don’t share sensitive info (home address, IDs, banking details).
- Trust your gut — leave if you feel uncomfortable.
- In an emergency, contact local emergency services.
Content standards
- No explicit sexual content, pornography, or sexual exploitation.
- No graphic violence or gore.
- No instructions or guidance for wrongdoing or illegal activity.
- No spam, repetitive posting, or engagement manipulation.
Reporting, blocking, and enforcement
If you see something that violates these rules, please report it in-app (where available) or email support@meshup.social. If someone is bothering you, block them and stop engaging.
- We may remove content that violates these guidelines.
- We may restrict features (posting, messaging, event creation) for safety.
- We may suspend or ban accounts for serious or repeated violations.
Working with app store safety standards
